A lot of you are probably wondering what “Points for Profit” is. It took me a while to figure it out, but now I have it down and it is so easy. “Points for Profit” is a partnership between locally owned businesses and local non-profit organizations. Helping out others is something I know we all like to do. I also know that in our hurry up, too busy, world that sometimes its hard to fit in volunteer time or help out financially, especially when many of us are struggling right now. That’s where “Points for Profit” can help.

All you have to do is save your receipts from businesses you already shop at. Turn your receipts in to your favorite participating non-profit organization to earn them points. The more points they receive, the more money they earn each year to help others! See, it is so easy.

There are over 70 participating businesses, including stores like, Staples, Cold Stone Creamery, Creative Crafts, Hertz Car Sales, First Burger, and of course Albany Antique Mall.

Twenty non-profit organizations belong including, C.A.S.A., Habitat Restore, SafeHaven Humane Society, Osborn Aquatic Center and Teen Challenge.

For a full list of participating businesses and non-profits visit the “Points for Profit” website at pointsforprofit.org or give them a call at 541-791-2901.

What could be better than helping others while you shop?
